Rap group Migos were thrown off a Delta flight Friday evening from a flight from Atlanta to Des Moines. In a video obtained by TMZ, a Delta rep in the video explains that the captain initially booted off Takeoff, but Quavo, Offset and their manager came to his aid.
The group’s manager said the 3 members were in first class, exhausted, and they all fell asleep. The manager also says Takeoff’s book bag was on the floor and not in the overhead, as required.
He didn’t obey the flight attendant and put the bag away, the manager says, because he was snoozing. He says when the plane taxied to the runway and the bag was still on the floor, and ultimately the pilot decided to stop the takeoff and remove Takeoff from the plane.
The video shows the confrontation on the jetway, with accusations and threats of lawsuit being thrown in the air along with their manager saying it’s racial profiling.
Delta, however has spoken and says that the flight returned to the gate because Migos repeatedly refused to follow crew member instructions to buckle seatbelts and stow carry-on in overhead bins. Delta also states that they had rebooked Migos on an alternate flight, that scheduled to land shortly after 9 PM Central time, just in time for their 10 PM Des Moines show.
